Palmieri and Fayne selected to U.S. team for World Championships

Devils rookie defenseman Mark Fayne and rookie right wing Nick Palmieri were among 16 players named today to the U.S. National Team for the IIHF World Championships April 29 through May 15 in in Kosice and Bratislava,
Slovakia.
The group includes two goaltenders, four defensemen and 10 forwards, and features 14 players from the NHL. Fayne and Palmieri are among five players on the roster that will be making their debuts for Team USA at the World Championships.
Palmieri, a 21-year-old native of Utica, N.Y, had nine goals and eight assists in 43 NHL games with the Devils this season. Fayne, who will turn 24 on May 15 and is a Nashua, N.H. native, had four goals and 10 assists in 57 NHL games this season with the Devils.
