Last June, the Flyers traded franchise cornerstones Mike Richards and Jeff Carter and signed Ilya Bryzgalov to a nine-year, $51 million contract on the same day.
This drastically altered the look of the team, as the club seemingly changed it's personnel from a high-scoring team to a defense-first team led by a Vezina caliber goaltender.
