Pitt FB Derrick Burns hospitalized, stable

Pitt backup fullback Derrick Burns was hospitalized Tuesday and is in stable condition with an undisclosed medical condition, the school announced in a statement. Burns was complaining of headaches at his home and taken to the hospital, where he is undergoing further evaluation. The redshirt sophomore has never played a down for the Panthers. He is competing with Mark Giubilato for the starting fullback position.
