In a nutshell: The Seahawks scored first, on a 43-yard field goal by Steven Hauschka. But the Broncos scored on the last play of the quarter on Willis McGahee’s 1-yard run.
Player of the quarter: K.J. Wright. The Seahawks’ second-year linebacker did by land and by air. He made sure the Broncos’ first possession was a three-and-out by tackling McGahee for a 4-yard loss on third down. Wright then intercepted a Peyton Manning pass that was deflected by defensive end Red Bryant and returned it 24 yards after the Broncos had the ball at the Seahawks’ 9 following a blocked punt.
Play of the quarter: It could have been David Bruton’s block of a Jon Ryan punt, giving the Broncos the ball at the Seahawks’ 24. It
