Quick update on injured defensive starters Gayle and Hosley, and WR D.J. Coles on his progress

A short injury update to open things tonight, and then a few items from wide receiver D.J. Coles, the Goochland High graduate who is fighting through yet another injury as he continues to grow into the receiver position.

Defensive end James Gayle was in a blue jersey (limited participation) for tonight’s practice. He missed last week’s win at Wake Forest after spraining his left ankle on the first drive of the previous week’s win over Miami. He was ruled out of the Wake game in the Thursday injury report.

Cornerback Jayron Hosley did not practice tonight, and instead spent the time getting his left hamstring worked on. He tweaked it in the first quarter against Wake Forest, leaving the Hokies without four defensive
