First, let's take a moment and mourn Iona recruit Michael Haynes, a forward who died this week in Chicago, shot over a necklace. (Thanks to Jaden for putting good words to the situation.) Haynes was a friend of St. John's guard Phil Greene, per Greene's Twitter.
Second, today is the Malone Mulhall Charity Basketball game. St. John's Hall of Famer Chris Mullin will coach one of the teams, and a number of former Johnnies and local players will participate.
