Randy Moss joins the 49ers

After working out for them earlier on Monday, WR Randy Moss agreed to a 1-year deal with the 49ers. While we like the move for San Fran, it's not a good landing spot for Moss from a fantasy perspective. The 'Niners finished 31st in pass attempts last year and don't figure to chuck it much more in 2012. Plus, QB Alex Smith struggles throwing the deep ball, ranking 25th in completion percentage on passes of 20+ yards last season. Even if Moss does still have some gas left in the tank, it's tough to imagine him producing as anything more than a WR3. Moss' presence should open things up for WR Michael Crabtree and TE Vernon Davis though.
