The Mariners have scored seven or more runs four times this year. Three of those games were against the Tigers (who they’ve played five times).
Ryan Raburn isn’t very good in the field (captain obvious, I know). The M’s final four runs were scored after an easy double play ball bounced harmlessly off his glove. Not that they were really still in the game at that point anyway.
You don’t expect the opposition to put up a 10-spot on you when you strike out 12 hitters and only give up one home run, but I guess that’s what happens when you commit four errors and play generally poor defense (and come up against some bad luck).
