Ricky Stanzi making push in Kansas City

It is only June, but an interesting race may be developing in Kansas City. Ricky Stanzi is putting big heat on newly signed Brady Quinn to be Matt Cassel’s backup quarterback. The Chiefs’ website reported that Stanzi took over the second-team from Quinn during the week. Stanzi was a fifth-round draft pick last year. Quinn (who played for Kansas City head coach Romeo Crennel in Cleveland) was signed this offseason to be Cassel’s backup.
