San Diego Chargers new WR Robert Meachem is projected to be a starting receiver for San Diego. The team sees him as a speedy, downfield threat. They are looking for him to improve on his 40- to 45-catch range that he posted the past three years while he was with the New Orleans Saints.
Huddle Up: With Vincent Jackson gone Meachem should move directly into the starting lineup across from Malcom Floyd, with Vincent Brown as the WR3 and newly signed Eddie Royal as a return man and WR4. Philip Rivers has made plenty of low-end receivers productive, so the Chargers' high expectations for Meachem aren't unfounded.
