We’ll start with some comments from Monday night, from Virginia Tech offensive line coach Curt Newsome. Then we’ll cover some defensive line items, as the Hokies try to replace starting tackle Antoine Hopkins; true freshman Corey Marshall will get the start in this first game, as Tech attacks the void with a “by committee” approach.
The offensive line has drawn its fair share of heat, as the Hokies gained just 258 yards in Saturday’s 23-3 loss to Clemson. Yet despite allowing four sacks, the line did help David Wilson run for 6.2 yards per carry.
