Running game still a question for NC State

The news that NC State’s 2010 leading rusher, Mustafa Greene, would miss the rest of the season with a foot injury obviously didn’t help the Wolfpack’s running game, but it’s not like NC State had his help to begin with this year.
“We’ve played from day one without him and made plans to do it,” said coach Tom O’Brien.
If they want to reverse their fortunes in the win column during the final stretch of the season, now is the time to start to do it better. NC State heads into Saturday’s game at Virginia with an inconsistent running game that is No. 95 in the country and No. 9 in the ACC at 116.17 yards per game.
