Rutgers gets major injury scare in scrimmage

In a scary scene for a team that dealt with a terrible injury last year, Rutgers watched as cornerback Jordan Thomas lay on the practice field motionless for nearly 15 minutes Saturday.
Thomas was taken away by an ambulance but appeared to have suffered only a concussion. I say "only" because the Scarlet Knights watched Eric LeGrand get paralyzed in midseason last year, and Thomas's injury undoubtedly brought back some bad memories. He was hurt after sprinting into a pile to try and recover a fumble.
LeGrand was even watching the scrimmage from a lounge at Rutgers Stadium.
