SJ Slow to Start the Roll? Part 1

I have always been a big Steven Jackson fan.  The man has played injured and has never had a bad attitude.  Ok, so he is a good football guy, but does he help the Rams win?  His stats show he’s rushed for over 1,000 yards every year (except for his rookie year) and is a 3 time Pro Bowler.  These kinds of stats would suggest “yes”.  The problem is that the Rams don’t win so we can’t conclusively say.  Recently, I told a friend, “I can’t remember the last time SJ had a good start to a season.  He always seems to take 4-5 games to get rolling.”  Then it struck me that if this is true then there’s a problem.  So…  I went to the stats and this is what I found.
