** Sophomore wing player Jarell Eddie is back. The NCAA restored his eligibility, meaning he will be able to play in the first semester. If the NCAA hadn’t done that, he wouldn’t have been able to play until the second semester.
Tech had to appeal to the NCAA because Eddie was suspended by the school midway through last semester after being arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession. He missed the season’s final six games – and also one game immediately after his arrest.
