Staples: Will the Oilers make the playoffs this coming season?

Do you think the Edmonton Oilers will be a playoff team in 2012-13? If you do, here’s a sobering fact: last summer at this time, we took a fan poll here at the Cult of Hockey and found that 41 per cent of Oilers fans predicted the Oilers would make the playoffs in 2011-12. As we all know, the team finished second last in the NHL, far out of the playoffs.
