Behindthenet.ca has a stat called Zone Starts that details how often a player starts his shift in the offensive zone.
During the regular season, of players who played more than 60 games, Marian Gaborik led the Rangers with 63% of his 5 on 5 shifts starting in the offensive zone. 51.9% of his shifts ended in the offensive zone.
