Texas A&M shuts down K-State

OKLAHOMA CITY — Michael Wacha allowed five hits and one run over eight innings and Texas A&M defeated Kansas State 4-1 in the Big 12 tournament Thursday night.
The Aggies scored twice in the second inning to take the lead for good. Kevin Gonzalez doubled and scored on an error and Kenny Jackson doubled in the other run off Matt Applegate (5-4).
Wacha (7-3), who struck out seven, pitched seven shutout innings after giving up Jason King's RBI double in the first. Nick Fleece pitched the ninth for his third save.
