Due to yesterday's weather there were a heckuva lot of games today, so let's get right to it...
Empire State lost to Norfolk 3-1 in Game 1:
Norfolk drew first blood, as Xavier Avery singled in the first and scored on Lew Ford's triple. Ford scored on a single from Miguel Tejada, giving the Tides a 2-0 lead. Russell Branyan knocked a double to center and scored on a single from Francisco Cervelli in the top of the second, making it 2-1. They had a chance to tie the game in the third, after Ramiro Pena and Kevin Russo started the inning with singles, but they came up empty. Norfolk added
