The Florida Panthers have been waiting for defenseman Erik Gudbranson to step up ever since they selected him in the first round (3rd overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Usually when a player is selected highly in the draft the team has high expectations and the Panthers aren't an exception.
