News broke yesterday that the Saints matched the offer the Falcons extended to Rafael Bush. Since Bush was a restricted free agent he is now locked into the contract from New Orleans without any more negotiations. Bush is out of the running to lend his services to the Falcons.
We could lament the current lack of a starting free safety on Atlanta’s roster or question how could the cap strapped Saints possibly add another free agent. But what is done is done and those questions aren’t productive. Instead let’s check out Atlanta’s options for a future safety net of the defense.
First Round Safety- The general consensus is that both Haha Clinton-Dix from Alabama and Calvin Pryor from Louisville are first round safety talent.
