Tweedy out for Virginia Tech game at Duke; Gayle and Hosley should be ready to go

With Alonzo Tweedy officially listed as "out" for Saturday's game at Duke, Virginia Tech could have its third starting outside linebacker of the season.
If No. 15 Tech (7-1 overall, 3-1 ACC) opens the game defensively in its traditional 4-3 alignment, redshirt freshman Nick Dew could get his first start at outside linebacker. Now, if Tech opens in a nickel formation (which is very possible given Duke's passing game), Kyle Fuller will likely slide down from starting cornerback to outside linebacker to start the game and Cris Hill will enter as a cornerback. Tech opened the game in nickel formation against Clemson and Wake Forest, and Fuller and Hill both started in the formation.
Tweedy is out with a high ankle sprain suffered in last
