North Carolina linebacker Ebele Okakpu has been dismissed from the program for conduct detrimental to the team, the school announced on Monday.

Okakpu, a senior from Roswell, Ga., started five games this season and had 14 tackles. He will remain on scholarship and is on track to graduate in the spring.
