USF softball's run ends with 1-0 loss to LSU

USF softball's season ended by the closest of margins, as LSU struck for an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth and held on for a 1-0 win in Oklahoma City, eliminating the Bulls in a game in which each team managed only two hits.
LSUÂ (40-24) scored on two defensive miscues by the Bulls -- with reliever Lindsey Richardson in for starter Sara Nevins, LSU's best hitter, Ashley Langoni, sent a line drive to deep right-center that bounced in and out of the glove of USFÂ centerfielder Janine Richardson for an error. That put runners at second and third, and after the bases were loaded, the Tigers managed to score on an infield sacrifice fly.
