VT, Miami looking to avoid 0-2 start

Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer isn’t even attempting to downplay the significance of Saturday’s home game against Miami.
Whoever loses this one drops like a rock to 0-2 in the conference race. You’ll hear the thud from Chestnut Hill to Coconut Grove.
“Oh it’s big,” Beamer said. “That game last week, when we lost that, it only made this game bigger. There’s no question about the significance of this one. It’s super, super important.”
Virginia Tech and Miami have both already dug themselves holes in the Coastal Division race, and both have had their share of problems. For Miami, it’s been stopping the run, which could be an issue against the league’s top running back,
