Vanderbilt rallied from a 8-3 deficit in the final two innings to shock top-seeded North Carolina State 9-8. The win puts the Commodores in the Regional finals, where they'll have to defeat the winner of NC State and UNC-Wilmington in order to move on to a Super Regional.
Vandy led early thanks to a Jack Lupo double and an Andrew Harris RBI bunt, but they couldn't make their 1-0 lead hold up as the 'Dores squandered scoring opportunities throughout the early stages of the game.
