ESPN's Mark Schlereth thinks adding Braylon Edwards to the San Francisco 49ers would help Alex Smith and Vernon Davis quite a bit.
Adam Schefter said he thought Edwards could be had for a one-year deal, and that adding Edwards would give the 49ers a needed boost in free agency.
I can't argue with those general points. Schefter also said he thought the 49ers were the favorites to sign Edwards.
