Jarell Eddie was suspended for a semester after a marijuana possession charge in February.

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech forward Jarell Eddie won't have to wait until mid-December to return to the court.

The NCAA has granted Virginia Tech an appeal, making Eddie eligible to play in games this semester. If the NCAA had turned Tech down, Eddie would not have been able to play until the fall semester ends in mid-December.
