Wake Forest running back Josh Harris is nursing a sore hamstring he suffered in last weekend's 35-30 win against Florida State and might not be available for Saturday's game against No. 19 Virginia Tech if he can't get more practice time in, according to Demon Deacons coach Jim Grobe on Wednesday.
Harris, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound sophomore, went through light activity in Tuesday's practice, but Grobe wants him to get more practice prior to the Tech game. Wake Forest's trainers are optimistic Harris will improve as the week progresses.
Grobe's attitude toward Harris' injury is exactly the same approach Tech defensive line coach Charley Wiles is taking with defensive end James Gayle, a Bethel High graduate who is dealing with a sprained left
