The Edmonton Oilers signed three players on July 1, the first day of the NHL’s summer auction, but with all due respect to Ryan Smyth, the most important one was the Yann Danis signing.
If the Oilers are going to contend for a playoff spot in 2012-13, then goaltending is where Oilers management must focus. Danis is a good start.
