With CIA help, NYPD moves covertly in Muslim areas

NEW YORK (AP) — The CIA has dispatched a senior operative to work undercover inside the New York Police Department's Intelligence Division.
The peculiar move is the latest in a CIA-NYPD relationship that at times has blurred the lines between foreign and domestic spying.
Since the 2001 terrorist attacks, the NYPD has become one of the country's most aggressive domestic intelligence agencies.
