With LB Jeron Gouveia-Winslow out for the season, and DE James Gayle out for this Saturday, how does Virginia Tech handle it?

As if Virginia Tech's defensive depth hadn't already taken a significant hit with the losses of defensive tackles Antoine Hopkins and Kwamaine Battle for the rest of the season due to injuries, it was dealt another serious blow Thursday with discouraging announcements regarding linebacker Jeron Gouveia-Winslow and defensive end James Gayle.
Gouveia-Winslow will miss the rest of the season due to a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot, while Gayle won't make the trip Saturday to Wake Forest with the team due to a sprained left ankle. Both injuries will result in some serious depth chart juggling for No. 19 Tech (5-1 overall, 1-1 ACC).
With Gouveia-Winslow out, junior Alonzo Tweedy will slide into the starting role at outside linebacker.
