Justin Grimm turned in an impressive major league debut, allowing three runs on six hits with no walks and seven strikeouts over six innings. He got the victory, as the Rangers pulled away for an 8-3 victory over the Houston Astros.
The win clinched the Silver Boot for the Rangers, who have held on to the coveted trophy for six straight years. But where does this leave Grimm going forward?
Manager Ron Washington said the team is in a wait-and-see mode before making a definitive decision. But Washington was impressed with how Grimm handled the situation on Saturday night, and said he would be in consideration to make another start for the Rangers.
