Nov. 16, 1957: Oklahoma took a 47-game winning streak onto Owen Field to play Notre Dame, the last team to beat the Sooners -- back in 1952. Oklahoma, a 19-point favorite, rushed for only 98 yards. The Sooners turned back the Irish twice inside the 6-yard line. With no score in the fourth quarter, Notre Dame drove 80 yards. Halfback Dick Lynch got the last 3 yards on fourth-and-goal with 3:50 to play. Irish students celebrated so long that the priests canceled classes on Monday.
